BIO
I earned my PhD in English and Cultural Studies at McMaster University in 2018, where my research focused on visual culture and its relationship to social justice. My professional background spans academic research, teaching, administration in the nonprofit arts sector, and community programming. I am a multidisciplinary writer and have published various articles on photography, politics, and education. Currently I am working on a personal creative nonfiction project.
As an editor and project manager I primarily work on academic books, helping my clients to refine their writing, shape the overall arc of their work, and organize the various components of a manuscript. I also work on smaller projects, editing articles or ghostwriting personal website content and copy for businesses. I am passionate about finding the precise language to best communicate my ideas and enjoy helping my clients do the same. Originally from the States, I now live in Halifax with my husband, two sons, and our dog Ninja.
